It also aims to provide a hand-shaking platform for various Corporate, Government organizations including the various investigation agencies, academia, research organizations, industry leaders and players, for better coordination in making the cyber world a better and safe place to be. Govind Mohan is the Union Home Secretary since 23rd August 2024. Prior to this, he served as Officer on Special Duty (MHA), and as Secretary, Ministry of Culture (Oct 2021 – Aug 2024). He has also held key positions in the Ministry of Home Affairs as Additional Secretary and Joint Secretary, and in the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance.
He has represented India abroad as Minister (Economic) at the Embassy of India, Washington DC (2012–2015), and served as Principal Resident Commissioner, Sikkim. Earlier, in the Cabinet Secretariat, he was responsible for major national policy areas including infrastructure, telecom, natural resources, and economic reforms.
Govind Mohan is a senior IAS officer with extensive experience in both domestic governance and international economic affairs.
Dr. Ajay Kumar is the current Chairperson of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). A former IAS officer from the 1985 batch, he was the former Defence Secretary of India. Kumar is an alumnus of IIT Kanpur and the University of Minnesota.
Kumar was the longest-serving secretary in the Ministry of defence, having also held the position of Secretary in the Department of Defence Production. Kumar held positions, including additional secretary in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and director general of the National Informatics Centre. During his tenure in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, he worked in the implementation of Digital India programme including Unified Payments Interface, Aadhaar, MyGov.in, Government e Marketplace and Jeevan Pramaan.
Nathan Hamiel is Senior Director of Research at Kudelski Security, where he leads the fundamental and applied research team, part of the Innovation group working to define the future of the company’s products and services. He focuses on emerging and disruptive technologies and their intersection with information security. This research includes new approaches to difficult security problems and the safety, security, and privacy of artificial intelligence. Nathan is passionate about risks at the intersection of technology and humanity and shares his thoughts on his blog, Perilous.tech. During his 25 years in cybersecurity, he has been a regular public speaker, presenting his research at global security events, including Black Hat, DEF CON, HOPE, ShmooCon, SecTor, ToorCon, and many others. He is also a veteran member of the Black Hat review board, serving as the AI, ML, and Data Science track lead.
Rear Admiral Sanjay Sachdeva, NM, is an alumnus of the Naval Academy, having joined the (10+2 X' first course) in 1987 and graduating second in overall order of merit, for which he was awarded the President’s Bronze Medal. Commissioned on 01 July 1991, he specialized in Navigation and Direction and has held a wide range of command and staff appointments, including deputation to Russia for the acceptance trials of the Talwar-class ships. He attended the 61st Staff Course at the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, earning DS Grading, and was awarded the CNS Gold Medal for the best paper on operational issues during the Naval Higher Command Course in 2014. In 2018, he furthered his professional education by attending the National Defence Course at the National Resilience Institute, Jakarta, Indonesia.
His instructional appointments include faculty roles at the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, and the National Defence College, New Delhi. On 01 July 2024, he assumed charge of the Defence Cyber Agency, the premier tri-services organization in the cyber domain, and in recognition of his devotion to duty, he was awarded the Nao Sena Medal in 2022.
